One of my favorite websites for getting to the bottom of a product’s greenness is the Environmental Working Group (EWG). Products are graded from A to F for potential health and environmental hazards.
After being a loyal user of Nature’s Miracle Stain and Odor Remover, I was disappointed to learn they only received a C by EWG. In fact, out of 23 Pet Stain Remover and Deoderizer products graded by EWG, only one brand received an A ranking and an alarming nine received an F!.
Kudos to Aussan Natural dog odor eliminator for scoring that A! Although the review states this is not a green certified product, it has received Design for the Environment (DfE) recognition from the EPA and is certified by the Natural Products Association. It ranks a low concern for general systemic/organ effects, general ecotoxicity, and developmental/endocrine/reproductive effects.
