Earth day is just a few weeks away, here are a few ways to help out and plan an earth day event with your dog friends!
1. Collect Used Towels and Blankets for a Local Shelter
Have towels that are getting a little thread bare or perhaps some themed bedding that your child has outgrown? Good news – these are like gold to your local animal shelter!
Homeless pets need some snuggly comfort too, donate your old blankets so they have something soft to lay on. Your old towels help to clean up the pets and their cages as well as provide bedding for smaller pets.
Ask your friends, family, and coworkers to gather up their old towels and blankets too (Facebook is a great way to spread the word) or ask your child’s school to help with a donation drive.
Make sure the towels and bedding are nice and clean before your drop them off at the shelter – they have enough laundry to do and this is a big help for them! Continue reading
